DISCOVER ART ON YOUR DOORSTEP 9th to 25th June Local artist at work Smallhythe Studio

It’s South East Open Studios time again and this year nearly 300 artists are opening their doors to visitors across Kent and East Sussex. Look out for the distinctive red and yellow paint tube logo which will direct you to the studios.

In Northian and the surrounding villages a group of SEOS artists have got together to create the Two Valleys Art Trail This is a circular route around the Rother and Tillingham Valleys that takes in eight studios. They are - Terence Ayling, Vincent Matthews and Christine King in Northiam, Virginia Ridley and Wendy Sabine in Wittersham, Will Taylor and Michael Stott in Rye and Brenda Hartill in Udimore.
The work they will be exhibiting includes oil and watercolours, drawings, etchings, and lino cuts. If you haven’t visited an Open Studio before, why not go this year? The artists would love to see you and are happy to talk about their work with no pressure to buy. Most studios will have a range of art for sale starting with cards at a pound or two.
